Sunday night, we took the girls to the zoo to see the Christmas lights. Every year, they have such a beautiful exhibit, and this year was even more *new and improved*. Unfortunately, the weather forecast was actually right and as soon as the sun went down, it started snowing huge, wet snowflakes. We all had on about three layers underneath our winter coats, scarves, hats and gloves and we left soaked in snow from head to toe, but I am so glad we went. It was a great night out seeing the beautiful lights.
And may I just point out that Leila - my second grader - is wearing my boots. MY BOOTS!! As in size 9.5 women's. And they really weren't that big on her. That is just wrong!
I had a fun time playing around with the lights, too. I call this series, "Intentional Blur with a few Psychedelic Effects." :)
I took the Christmas decorations down today. That is always such a depressing day for me. My house feels bare now. I typically let them stay up until after New Year's, but tomorrow is house cleaning day and it just made sense to take them down today. On the bright side, at least I'll start out the New Year this year with this task already done. I guess that will be nice.

I love these photos of your girls.
Great pics Michelle!! (I probably sound like a broken record, I think I start every comment with that phrase, LOL) The light shots are amazing!
What a fun night at the zoo. The girls look sooo pretty in pink!
Hope you have a great week!
The zoo lights were awesome this year!! I like the new "look" of the blog!
Love the pics...but LOVE seeing all your girls! ;)
First, I'm so impressed that you've already changed your blog look from Christmas! Love the new look!
Love all the pics. Looks like a fun evening - even with the snowflakes! I can't believe Leila is wearing your boots! I thought Ben, my 2nd grader's, feet were big wearing a boys 3! :)
Have a happy new year!
That's some fantastic photography my friend. I share you're same feeling, it's depressing to take the Christmas decorations down

Beautiful pics of the girls and the lights! Those are some cool and groovy effects :)
I cannot believe how big Leila's foot is! What does her pediatrician estimate her height to be? Regardless, she is gorgeous...just like her mom and sisters!

I know just what you mean about taking the decorations down and the bare feeling.

Just found your blog from "No Hands but Ours" We are in the process of adopting an almost-10 y.o. boy and of course all the worries that go with it. I was much encouraged to read your 6 month update. Thanks
Beautiful girls! A blessing to see photos of your newest's first xmas home. Best wishes for many more blessings in the coming year.
HI Michelle. I don't believe I have commented before, but I have been following your blog since this summer and I love it. Your photography is wonderful! God has blessed you with a great talent.

Great photos. We were planning on visiting the zoo but the weather and our schedules never seemed to work out. I just finished taking down my Chrismas decorations and it makes me sad too. Happy New Year.
The girls look so cute matching and everything!
We take all our Christmas decor down on the 26th. I put our stuff up early so I'm utterly sick of it by the 26th. Maybe this will work for you too?
Happy New Year!
Your daughters are soooooooo pretty! Love the lights!
