A Pumpkin Here, a Hayride There

We did our first pumpkin patch visit over the weekend. It's fun to do all of these "firsts" with Kara... her first hayride, first pumpkin patch, and first time making a scarecrow. So far, she is a big fan of fall, just like me. OK, so maybe not a huge fan of the cool weather, but neither am I. According to our Nanning guide, she was used to cold winter weather at 70 degrees, and the coldest winter day at 60. In southern China, they bundle them in layers, a sweater and a wool coat for this kind of weather. We have surpassed that every day for the past two weeks and she seems ok with a heavy sweatshirt. I am amazed at how quickly she has adapted to the cool weather. And she CAN'T WAIT for snow!! She has talked about snow since day one. She just can't wait until the first snow. We will have one happy girl on our hands! I just hope it doesn't happen while she is at school, or else I just may have to drive to school to see her reaction. OK, so how did this post turn into snow? Let's get back to the pumpkins...

These are so cute...looks like lots of fun. Thanks for the great info on flashes. I am taking Debbie's flash class starting on the 18th so hopefully I learn a little. One more question...how much did you spend on your umbrella and where did you get it from...I know, such a pain I am ;)

What fun pictures of the girls at the pumpkin patch......looks like they had such a great time.

If this weather keeps up, Kara might see her first snow sooner than she thinks:)

Hope you all have a great week!
