One Hoppin' Birthday Party

Mia had a wonderful 4th birthday party today, thanks to her sisters and 9 dear friends who here to help her celebrate. Mia asked for a Max & Ruby party - her favorite tv show. Somehow, these two little bunnies came along and pushed Dora & Ni Hao Kai Lan right out of their first place spots. (Yes, I know! Where ARE their parents?!?) Let me just say this word of warning, if your child asks for a Max & Ruby party... run... run very fast. You can't buy licensed M & R party supplies yet, so somehow I got into the Max & Ruby drawing and cake decorating business. (Let's just say that watching one episode of Cake Boss does NOT make me a cake decorator!! LOL.) This theme turned out to be a bit more work because I couldn't just go out and buy the supplies, but the bunny theme was also very fun. Our friend and babysitter was my party helper and took care of leading all of the games and crafts. Oh, what a great thing to have a party helper - I actually got to enjoy the party! The kids played bunny-themed games (the ball bunny hop, bunny tail/spoon race, Pin the Tail on the Bunny, bunny ring toss) and did crafts (a bunny face and M & R coloring pages).

Are you telling me that you DREW everything that had Max and Ruby - wow - talent!! You go girl:)

Looks like an awesome party! I was like your babysitter - I would always be the two families I worked for "party helpers" - what fun to experience the birthday joy that kids have!!!

Blessings for a great week, Ashley

Well, I am in total awe of how much work you put into this. Not only for making a picture perfect fun-filled birthday party (great theme BTW), but also for the amazing collages you created and all the great pictures you took. I hope you are putting books together at least once a year. These are fantastic. I don't know how you do it with three kids, especially with one so new.

Your new fall look on the blog is also stunning! I am so impressed. Have you been taking classes in how to do all this amazing stuff?

Oh, I'm so sorry we missed it! What a beautiful party and birthday girl! The other night when I put Ainsley to bed she said "Mommy, when do I get to see my friends who have black hair like me?". I thought that was the sweetest thing that she was thinking about her beautiful Chinese friends:)
