Here are pics of the two new sisters, Kara with her life-long friend, Lela, and Kara using her new translator that we purchased today at Wal-Mart, but later realized she likes it so much because it has Chinese games. :)
Congratulations!!! Thank you for posting all the wonderful pictures! Your girls are beautiful and I can't wait to see you guys when you get home and have all three of your girls together. God is so Good!!!!
Love the pics!!! Also loved learning about the Chinese culture not being as openly affectionate as we are...so interesting...thanks for sharing it with us!!
Michelle, I've just had a chance to sit down and relish getting all caught up on your wonderful journey in China. Kara just sounds like a darling little girl and I love to hear about the interactions between she and Leila. It sounds like the beginning of a wonderful lifelong friendship. Of course, God always knew this was the plan! Praise the Lord for your faithfulness and your wonderful family. Can't wait to hear more and see more pictures!
Awesome pics! Thanks for sharing. It sounds like everything is going very well. I hope things continue to go smoothly. It's great to hear that Leila and Kara are getting along so well. It was a GREAT idea to have her go along. Love Ya! Shelly
Oh it's so good to be back in blogland! You and I have "blogged" before, but it's been long while since I had to work full-time this past school year. I lost contact with all the great people I have "met" with adopted children. Hope to catch up with you and your beautiful daughters and see what's going on with this new "third" story!! ; )
She will figure out what she has been missing all this time. You just keep a lovin'and a squeezin' and a kissin' and a huggin'. She will come around. I am so glad things are going so well. We miss you.
I just read back through a bunch of posts since I haven't been over here in a while. I am so excited and thrilled for your entire family. It just sounds so wonderful. Congrats! Many blessings to you all!
Oh how beautiful! I am so happy for Kara and your family! Leila and Kara look so great as sisters!! so, so happy for you all! Nanning looks wonderful and I lover your photos!
In addition to running my own photography business, I am a proud mother to three beautiful girls that were born in my heart, and a wife to my wonderful husband of 17 years. We adopted Leila from Moscow, Russia at 32-months old and Mia from Jiangsu Province, China at 13-months old. We thought we were done at two, until God led us on another journey to China - this time to bring home our 11-year old daughter, Kara Da Xin in July 2009. I am also the proud Aunt of two nephews, born in Guatemala, and a niece, born in China. I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father for blessing our family with these amazing children.
This is a very special necklace I had made to keep my children close to my heart. On the left, it says "family" in Russian. On the right, it says, "mother and daughter joined at the heart" in Chinese. I love this piece of jewelry and how it always reminds me of our journey to bring home our three precious girls.
