I've finally been bitten by the I Heart Faces bug. This week's theme is "Reflections." In our master bathroom, we have two, large mirrors on opposite walls that create multiple, double reflections. (Click to enlarge to see what I mean about double reflections.)
I did more post-processing than normal with this photo. I wanted the mirror images to stand out and not compete with the actual beige wall color (Mia's skin tone would have blended in), so I used a whitewash preset in Lightroom (Matt's Bleach Bypass - More Color) and then increased the saturation of Mia and her outfit back to normal levels. I also edited out all of the electric outlets and their reflections. (I can't stand outlets in my photos!) I originally wanted Mia facing the mirror, but ended up liking the reflections of her facing me better. That way all of the reflections are not of her backside.
The challenging part was trying to get as many reflections as possible without getting myself in the picture. Oh, and trying not to trip over the all that counter "stuff" that I placed on the floor. You didn't think my counters were always this clean and clutter-free, did you? LOL

I love how creative everyone is being. Beautiful picture.
Hi Michelle...what a cute pic. I opened up and did a double take...she's wearing an outfit I just got for Maddie! It's such a colorful outfit for Spring/Summer! Hope all is well...you two must be getting rapidly ready for adventure part 3 :) Take care!

You are sooooo clever! And too funny about decluttering (and removing outlets). I do that all the time!

I love this shot. I did a similar one for my adult entry but how in the world did you end up with so many multiple reflections. I am impressed and I think you just put mine to shame. Love the vivid colors on the outfit too. She is adorable.
This is incredible Michelle....Great Shot....and Mia is just too cute up there on the counter:)

I love all the reflections. Very cool. What ... your counters are not perfectly clean all the time??? I'm chuckling that you edit out all the electrical outlets, that's funny.
Very awesome! I tried this shot myself, but couldn't get my mirrors angled correctly. Or get a cooperative model...
Thanks for sharing the edits. I love to learn new ways to play with my pics! :)
Fantastic entry and great idea on your part! Love it!!
Michelle, I'm just now getting to look at all the entries, and I had the same idea you did! Great minds think alike?
Beautiful photo! The post processing sounds so complicated . . . I'm not sure I am ever going to figure all this stuff out! Great work :)
Beautiful photo!!! I love the processing that you did too and your girls are just gorgeous! I just have to come back and spend some time reading your story! And you are going to China again this summer - I just have to tag along :)
Love the creativity! Has Mia tried to count how many times she's in the picture? What fun!
I love the infinity look. Great picture!
