Pray, Pray, Pray

My heart is heavy this morning, joining millions of other fans, friends and family who mourn for the Chapman family. When I saw the news this morning, I couldn't believe it was true. Maria, the five-year old daughter of Steven Curtis and Mary Beth Chapman was killed yesterday in a tragic accident. Steven and Mary Beth have six children, including three adopted daughters from China. Maria was one of them. They have touched so many hearts and have led countless people on their adoption journey. They have also helped thousands of families adopt by providing grants through their foundation, Shaohannah's Hope. I know families personally that were able to adopt as a result of this loving, giving family. On a personal level, Steven has inspired me greatly through his music and we designed Mia' room after their book, Shaoey and Dot. Please join me in praying for the Chapman family. Pray for strength as they deal with the loss of their daughter and sister and pray for healing for their teenage son who was at the wheel of the SUV when Maria was accidentally hit.
