My friend, Lisa, is starting Black & White Wednesday today. Her goal is to fill up a wall in her home with some of the many gorgeous photos she takes that she will post-process in black/white. I am posting one of my favorite images from the summer. (This is my outdated watermark, but it was already loaded into Flickr and I didn't have time this morning to change it.) This photo captures my niece, Lucy, and daughter, Mia, sharing a lemonade. This was actually taken in a restaurant in very poor lighting. I had to hike my ISO up to 1250, so the image was very grainy. Thankfully, a quick conversion to b/w saved my image, and it turns out, I like it better than the color version anyway. I love how things work out that way!
If you want to take part in Black & White Wednesday, just pop over to Lisa's blog and check it out.

Soda Shop Sweeties.....beautiful!
Nice job in the B&W saving that image and ultimately realizing it was best that way anyway.
Your blog looks lovely...I'll be back for sure to snoop around and get caught up.

Isn't it nice to save an image by converting it to black and white?? Gotta love that trick!!
SO glad you joined in the fun....thanks for playing along.

Simply adorable! I love this picture!
This would look great framed and on the wall! I have a denoise program and I just love how it can salvage a 1600 ISO image. I am not afraid to shoot in low light any more.
Beautiful!
Black and white processing can be such a life-saver! :)
Totally adorable!
