There She Goes...

Well, it's official. Mia has finally put her new backpack to good use. She has been wearing that thing around the house for two weeks now - just waiting to start school. Because you know, it's all about the "Dora packpack." She started her new preschool class today. She couldn't sleep last night and she was up super early this morning all in anticipation of her big day. I would have bet some serious bucks that I would have shed lots of tears today, but I couldn't cry when I saw her so excited. She walked into her class like such a big girl, gave me a big hug and a kiss and was ready to go. It turns out, the new class they started today is far from full. It was Mia, two boys, her teacher and a teaching assistant. So, two teachers to three kids - not a bad ratio, eh? She has a couple of friends in the neighboring preschool classes and they get to share recess together. The best part of the day was when I picked her up and she came running down the hall and jumped into my arms. OK, well that was the best part of the day for me at least. ;)

Too cute! Michelle I am sure you loved the end of Mia's day, but something tells me that she was quite excited from start to finish!

Mia - I bet you had a great time and were your teacher's star student! Way to go and I love your Dora backpack!!

Hugs!

Well she is more than cute if that's possible! Don't you love it when they run out and jump in your arms?! (mr. Will does the same thing!)

I think the best part of having a preschooler is the pick up. They are genuinely sooo excited to see you. I'm really happy that Mia had a great first day! Glad you were able to hold up too, mommy! :)
