Black & White Wednesday

the long road

Ahhhhh, Spring. After this long and crazy winter, the birds chirping and sun shining is such a beautiful thing! After the girls dentist appointments this afternoon - where I learned that Kara will have to have a root canal :( - I took advantage of the gorgeous sunshine and stopped on our way to Leila's soccer practice to take a few shots in a local downtown area.

This week, I decided to post both the color and b/w versions. I like Kara and Leila's in b/w better, but I prefer Mia's in color. This vest is from Leila's "vintage collection." he he. Doesn't that sound better than "hand-me-down"? It has always been one of my favorites. I'm a total paisley girl, plus it's pink and green. In my eyes, you can't go wrong with that combination. ;)

Hi Michelle - thank you for your awesome comment.

I love these portraits of your girls. It must be so much fun when children actually start posing for you. Looks like they love the camera and boy does the camera ever love them!!

These are sooo pretty! I love the color and the black and white. I love how soft Leila looks...such a beautiful girl! Mia is such a cutie in the "vintage" outfit :) Poor Kara having a root canal :( I've had several. Actually, they really aren't that bad. Her mouth might be a little sore for a day, but not too bad. I think the drills are the scariest part :)

All 3 are beautiful Michelle, love the texture of the brick behind them. And I do prefer 'vintage' than hand me downs...so much nicer...

Sorry about Kara's root canal, I've had 2 in my lifetime, they really are not that bad. The noise is the worst part to me...maybe she can bring an IPod to listen to.

I'll have to remember "vintage" for when mei mei comes along.

These are beautiful, as usual! I'm sorry to hear about Kara's root canal. I pray she'll be at peace about it and have a wonderful dentist to minister to her (and you, too).

Lots of love~

Usually I'm contrary, but I agree... I love the versions you love best, too. I especially love Leila's black and white. Does that girl have a smile or what?

Love the pictures of your girls. They are all so beautiful!

I'm loving the term vintage instead of hand-me-down. My little guy has a ton of vintage clothes. I love when friends are sending them my way. Next time I will definitely refer to them as "vintage"!

Great photos. I really like the urban setting, and that last photo is such a winner in black and white. Awesome! I think I may borrow the vintage term for hand-me-downs too :)With four kids, my kiddos have plenty of those! Ha ha. Great photos :)
