Christmas With the Cousins - Part I

OK, so y'all know how much I absolutely adore my niece and nephews. This past weekend, we headed over to my brother's house in a neighboring state for a belated Christmas celebration. The kids start counting the days well in advance when they know they are going to get to see Jorge, Lucy and JoJo (Joe). It was wonderful. And unlike my house, my brother's house has this amazing natural light throughout the first floor - a photographer's dream - which leaves me with far too many pictures to post. I'm going to make this a two-part series.

I know I have mentioned it before, but Mia and Lucy are inseperable. Truly, they are together every moment and I just can't get enough of watching the two of them. Part II is all about Mia and Lucy.

DX Christmas-37
My "almost" three-year old nephew, Joe. He will let me take pictures of him forever. How many very active two-year old boys do that? He loves to ham it up for the camera. This is his more serious face. They are all adorable in my book.
DX Christmas-28
Like her brother, my beautiful niece, Lucy, loves the camera. She loves being my model.
DX Christmas-23
Jorge is typically more reluctant to get in front of the camera, but not this past weekend. He flashed many a smile for me and this picture is pure Jorge. He just radiates joy.
DX Christmas-12
And Joe... how shall I say this... he loves dress up. And we all love that about him.
DX Christmas-22
My brother and his big boy.
DX Christmas-5
Mia flashes her sweet smile.
DX Christmas-8
Kara is always ready to hop in front of the camera. No complaints here!
DX Christmas-29
Leila and Joe have much in common - they can't resist the dress-up bins.
DX Christmas-38
My mom and Lucy. (Silence please, you just might hear my mom cringe at me posting a picture of her on my blog.) But Mom - I think you look beautiful!!!

We were all watching Lucy's video from China, celebrating her five year Family Day anniversary!
DX Christmas-31
It's Tool Time for Mia and Lucy.
DX Christmas-30
A triumphant glow - Jorge beats his dad at Wii football.
DX Christmas-26
Joe in a wedding dress. Sorry, I didn't get the heels. Oh this kid can get us to laugh.
DX Christmas-39
Seriously kissable cheeks...
DX Christmas-20
The only way to silence my girl.
DX Christmas-33
Typical Joe.
DX Christmas

As always, our time together leaves us looking forward to the next time we see each other.

What wonderful images! The kids clearly all had so much fun. Evidently, we have the same taste in children's clothes. Chloe and Pearl have the Gymboree Panda clothes and also that cute pink gingerbread dress.

Oh Michelle, I just get teary-eyed looking at all of these precious children from literally every corner of the globe and how the Lord in His perfect plan brought each of them to be in your family.

Your family is a wonderful testimony to the miracle and privilege of adoption. Thank you for sharing these fun pics. Those cute cheeks of Joe's makes you just want to squeeze 'em. :) Every child is uniquely beautiful!

Hugs,
Tisha
P.S. Kensie also has the same Panda Gymboree outfit. :)

Michelle's Momma, you look beautiful! And y'all have great taste in clothes - the Tongginator has that same panda outfit. Which is a huge surprise, I know. (Said in an impressively dry voice, with not a trace of sarcasm.)
