Tomorrow, we celebrate three months home with Kara. Wow! I can't believe it was three months ago that we were sitting on that Beijing runway trying to get home. These past three months haven't been without challenges, but it has far surpassed my expectations. I know without a doubt that Kara joining our family was all in God's perfect plan.
I hope to write soon about our experience thus far with adopting a much older child, but I can't quite wrap my head around all that I want to write. Until then, stop by "We Picture This" to view my contribution to this month's "Love Story" theme.

Congrats on three months together! I can't believe it's been that long... and I am so impressed that Kara's language is coming along as well as it is (yes, I clicked over). You are right - love knows no boundaries.

So hard to believe it has been trhee months home with your gorgeous girl. It feels like yesterday you were sending me an email asking if Paige wanted a new playmate!!! :) I'm still waiting on that playdate by the way :)
Happy 3 Months!! It has gone by so quickly......I am thrilled that everything worked out perfectly for your family. This was definitely a match made in a heaven.

I found your blog through We Picture {this}. Thanks for sharing your story. I'm an adult adoptee and we just welcomed home a 2 1/2 year old 5 months ago. Thank you so much for your blog. My husband and I are also considering an older child adoption.
ANY insights you could offer on your experience (no matter how negative) would be greatly appreciated.
Especially issues like Kara's age at adoption, attachment with parents and siblings, baggage from past Chian experiences, etc.
