I have felt so guilty walking around the house these past two months with every frame filled with photos of Leila and Mia...or us as a family of four. I even put photos of Kara in the corners of some of the frames to help her feel like we hadn't forgotten her and I made sure that our digital frames were loaded of pics with her. Getting a family photo taken was high on my list, but I just couldn't get around to doing it until Friday night. (I used a wireless remote to take the ones with me in it.) I have a 16" x 20", two 11" x 14s" and several smaller photos ordered and ready to replace the outdated pictures in all our frames. Yay! It feels so good to have this done. I know it will mean a lot to Kara to see herself throughout the house, and it will make me feel so good to see her in them, too.
By the way, please bear with me as I go through an identity crisis with my watermark. I started using DaLeMi Photography when I assumed Kara would want to be called by her Chinese name, Da Xin (Da = Da Xin; Le = Leila; Mi = Mia). Now, it just doesn't make much sense anymore, so I'm switching to Michelle R... at least for now.
I used Rebecca's Warm Antiqued Lightroom pre-set on three of these. The warm, muted colors will go great in our family room.
You should have seen these white dresses about 15 minutes later. They were covered in red sucker stains. :)
Nolan's mom was visiting, so I wanted to get her in with the girls, too. I love how it turned out.
We went to the backyard to take a few fun shots. The girls had a great time jumping for these pics.
Ahhhhhh.... what a wonderful feeling to have this done. It's my turn to jump for joy!

Michelle,
Simply beautiful! I'm sure you look at those pictures and are in awe of the Lord's goodness and blessings. Beautiful pictures but more importantly, a beautiful family filled with God's love! An example to us all of how our lives can look when we are open to the Lord's call and we walk with Him in obedience. You inspire me as well!
Blessings,
Tisha

Beautiful pics! Getting new family photos was one of the first things I did with Willa too. She was much younger and I'm sure didn't care but I wanted Jia to see us as a complete family unit, and I think it helped everyone feel that way! I'm sure Kara appreciates them!
Oh Michelle what absolutely great photos!! I can imagine it will be wonderfully complete once you have them in the frames. Hope things have been going well for you, my mom is doing much better and is home. One of my aunts came into town to stay with my parents for the next month or so to help with everything, which has lifted a huge weight off my dad - praises!! My mom is even feeling well enough to do some wedding things:)
Great seeing the five of you all together and I genuinely love the ones of the girls jumping - their white dresses look great against the green grass and blue sky!!
Blessings and Hugs, Ashley
