Kara's first trip to our local zoo - Although this is the third zoo we've visited with Kara, this was the first time we had ventured out to our local zoo since returning from China. In truth, we spent far more time riding rides than we did visiting animals.
Reflections - This month's "We Picture This" theme was Reflections. Here was my attempt at the theme. You can view it larger here.
Our First Out of Town Soccer Tournament - This past weekend, we traveled to another town for Leila's first soccer tournament of the season. She is playing on a new team this year and these were the first games these girls have played together. They seem to be such a nice group of girls with nice parents, too. (YAY!) They have had lots of practice together but no games, so they are still trying to mesh together and learning to play as a team. Even without any wins, we were still so proud of Leila. We are just amazed at how far she has come in the past year. She really seems to love the sport and has just blossomed in her soccer skills. She scored three out of seven goals and did a great job defending the goal as goalie. This Mommy and Daddy give her an A++ for effort!
King's Island - We had planned to tack on an extra day to our trip to take the girls to King's Island amusement park. It turned out to be such a fun family day.Mother/Daughter Day - Two years ago, I started an annual tradition with Leila to take her to a water park right before school starts for our last big summer mother/daughter outing. Yesterday, I took my two big girls. While the girls get along great most of the time, they do fight over getting my undivided attention. And I truly mean undivided. It's impossible to meet their expectations, so we had a bit of pouting yesterday that put a damper on about 40-minutes of of our 7-hour day at the water park, but they both got over it and realized that we were there to have fun, and that's just what we did! Both girls were scared to do the dark tunnel slides at the beginning of the day, but they ended up loving them by the end of the day. This was our favorite...
Well, that about catches me up for now. We get to see Jorge, Joe and Lucy tomorrow, so you know I'll be taking my camera with me. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Great pictures, your girls are so cute! I cant believe summer is almost over! Have a great weekend.
I love that idea of doing one last "mother/ daughter day" before school starts. I am all over that! Now... if only I could think what to do...
I'm glad to hear things are settling down and the transition continues to go smoothly. I know the sibling rivalry has got to be intense at time, but hang in there! We are all praying for y'all.
Looks like you have been having a wonderful summer with your three girls! Sorry you have been having photo problems though:)
Small world, but we were at King's Island over the summer too! My sister lives outside of Indianapolis and we went with the older two and some friends of the family. Too bad we didn't just bump into each other, as I would love to meet you "in person":)
Blessings, Ashley

You guys have been busy as usual!! What a fun thing that Kara loves the water so much too!

Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!
As always, beautiful pictures! Love the REFLECTIONS one!
Glad things are still going great. What a blessing your sweeties are.
