Where can you go to see a whole lotta green and all of the colors of the rainbow on St. Patrick's Day? The conservatory! Mia and I went down to see the annual butterfly exhibit yesterday - our first of several trips this year I'm sure. In addition to being a great place to take your kids, it truly is a photographer's paradise there. Mia's favorite thing to do there is to feed the fish. I tell you this girl could make a small $.25 handful of fish food last forever. And when you give her $1, well... we're feeding fish for hours. (OK, a little exaggeration.)
My happy fish-feeding girl...
Mia cracks me up. She saw this picture and said, "Ooooooooh, they're kissing, Mommy." :)

And some blooms & butterflies...
BTW, these butterflies really let you get up close and personal. I only used my 50mm; not my zoom!
Oh, and by the way, Leila was one of 4 or 5 kids in her class who caught a Leprechaun. Unfortunately, the little guy escaped before morning, but he left some gold (chocolate) coins inside her trap. He left a trail of smaller chocolate coins for all the kids in her class, so everyone was happy. It was all in the eyes, I just know it! ;) LOL
p.s. I know I have shared my love of Oscrap's Paint the Moon "Boxed In" set by Annie Manning before, but I just had to give a little credit to the frames in the layouts above. I just love these little irregular-shaped bronze/chocolate colored frames.

Michelle,
These are beautiful photos! It's funny, I just got a 50mm lens and I'm having trouble getting used to it! I am sooooooo used to zooming. However the clarity is awesome.
You'll have to read my latest post, kind of on the line with your butterfly theme here:)) Be prepared to laugh, really hard!

That photo of the fish kissing is just incredible. Are those glass floaters by Dale Chihuly? I can't tell. I love this stuff. Beautiful shots.
