1800-A Approval!

Yesterday, I received some great news! I found out via email that our I800-A application was approved. A big WOO HOO!! Such a sign of relief that we have this big step complete. We are now waiting on that all-important slip of paper in the mail so I can get that last document authenticated. According to the consulate turnaround time, I'm guessing we still won't be able to send in our dossier for another 3 weeks or so. We were told the I800-A approval would probably take 3-4 months, but we got it in 10 weeks!! I thank God for answered prayers! I have so much to do in the next few months. I have lots of new books to read on attachment (more than I read for the first two) and I want to learn some Mandarin, so I'm going to have to reduce my time spent on the computer. :( I'll still be here and stopping by, but have to start limiting how many days a week I can do that. I just have to make the time to get to that stack of books! Travel time seems so far away - still several months - but it will be here before I know it!

Of course, I had to post some photos. When we were in Utah, we missed the -15 degree weather back home. Who knew you had to go west to the mountains to get warmer weather?!? The girls didn't get much outdoor time while we were gone because it was just way too cold. So on Monday, we went outside for just a little bit. That is, until Mia took off her gloves, her fingers froze in seconds and I took a crying child inside. Poor thing learned why Mommy always reminds her to keep her gloves on. But, they still enjoyed the time outside...

We couldn't find Leila's snow pants. I think I put them in our big donation pile last week. Oops! She's wearing my track pants. lol

How great you got the I-800!

Beautiful pics of your 2 girls.

And as for the snow, we have more than our share. I wouldn't mind if some of it would disappear. :)

Congratulations! Praying that your 1-800 comes even quicker than you are expecting.
Just got caught up on your blog and all the glorious pictures! I could spend hours here taking it all in! But I loved reading your story to your new daughter. God is SO good, and so amazing how he confirms to each of us who our children are.
Can't wait to follow your journey.

What a relief to get that! Our friends just got a rejection notice. I think they're being tougher now, so a big congrats to you on passing that stressful step!

Glad the girls enjoyed being outside (for a while at least!)
