As mentioned in my last post, my pet name for Mia is "my little monkey". She has earned her nickname. She gives the biggest and best monkey hugs ever, but much to my dismay, she also jumps on anything and everything.
(Hence the reason that it was only a few months ago that she upgraded from her mattress on the floor.) I do not encourage her jumping on the furniture, but as I was taking her picture the other day, she said she wanted to stand on the couch. As I'm snapping away, off she goes. Jump... there she goes. What's a Mamarazzi to do? Shoot, of course. All rules are broken if a camera is in hand. And jumping
off the furniture isn't technically
on the furniture, right? :-)
(The original reason for the picture was to capture this outfit - the fourth (and final) ensemble in my Y.o-Yo collection. You may recall the
first, or the
second. I also made a third for a friend. It was fun while it lasted, but I think I'm done.)
"Oh, that so fun, mommy. I do it again."
I hope you all have a great week!!

Hi Michelle,
You are so right...when the camera is in hand....the rules go out the window!!
Mia is loving every minute of her furniture jumping....she is so darn cute...and I love her outfit!!
Have a great week!
Lisa
What a cute little monkey.
That is a cute outfit, Michelle! And another adorable monkey you have! My girls love jumping on the furniture, too...especially the beds! : )
I think jumping on and off the furniture is a right of passage for children. I am just glad that the mamarazzi was around to get the joy of being a monkey : )
I really, REALLY like the outfit. Why are you hanging up your hobby? You are so creative.
Have a great week!
Darling....and once again my friend...I must ask about the Asian picture in the background.....stunning....is it available for purchase or do you find it in a gallery?
Michelle,
You are so talented; both behind the camera and with those adorable outfits.
I love the new pictures of the girls in the header. I especially love Leila's outfit and the incorporation of her Russian heritage. Have a great week!
She is so cute!!! Love that grin...I bet she landed hard on her bottom and still thought it was funny..Annslee does that too and it hurts me to watch LOL
What a cute outfit!! And such a cute little girl jumping around -- looks like she had a blast!

Okay, how cute is that little monkey??? I love what you did with this outfit, too. You're so good...
Also, have to tell you I love that painting. It hangs in our most frequented Chinese food restaurant here in town and I've always thought it was so lovely.
Have a happy Monday!
Love,
Lisa
Uh oh, Lisa. That is supposed to be a one of a kind original oil painting by an artist with a gallery on Shamian Island. I purchased another one by the same artist. Hmmmm... Now you have me wondering...
But of COURSE she can jump off the couch, if mama is behind the lens! That goes without saying!! :)
I love the look on her face - she knows she is getting away with something!!! :)
Adorable pictures as always!!
Cute!!! So how does her hair stay so perfect with all the jumping?
Oh my gosh Michelle, I just read Lisa's comment and then yours just above... and I almost spit my Zen tea all over my computer monitor!!! I am still laughing!! I'm sorry... but wouldn't that be funny...??? Not really, but STILL. Your one of a kind original hanging in a Chinese buffet... LOL. I'm sorry. Don't hate me. It just sounds EXACTLY like something that would happen to me...!!!!!!!
Monkey is certainly one little monkey! By the way, love, love the art of the young woman doing needlework. It is lovely!
Patricia
what a cute outfit !!!! and i have me a few monkeys here also ... Maggie makes me a nervous wreck jumping everywhere w/ her head !!!
God protect our crazy, active, joyful children !!!
Sorry, I stupidly left a comment logged in as someone else... I have been doing that a lot lately... in too many people's Blogger these days! :)
AS I WAS SAYING...
Mass produced or no, I love your painting - and if you ever decide to forgive me for laughing at your expense, I'd love directions to the gallery. :)
Sosossoso sweet!! And you living room is lovely!!!
Mia seems to always be so full of life! Her smile just exudes pure joy!
She is such a precious little monkey.
Hugs,
Ohilda
Hey girl. Don't you love my multiple comments??
I think your name pick is perfect for your little munchkin... and I can say that with confidance because I am lucky enough to have seen her beautiful face!! It definitely suits her! (And it will grow well with her... it's not so cutesy that I can't see it on a grown woman). Big plus too is that it's not something you hear all the time! I like the more uncommon names.
If it's the right one... you'll know it in your heart and it will keep growing on you. :)
Love ya!

Loving your new camera! Great shots of the girls hamming it up!
