I took some photos of the girls in the backyard tonight for the We Picture [This] Joy theme. I could only post two on that blog, but I had so many favorites to choose from, so I'm posting some more here. Most of them were of Mia because Leila was in another part of the backyard playing soccer with Nolan. These are probably some of my favorite pictures ever. They each speak joy to me.
These are the two I chose to post on We Picture [This]
In addition to running my own photography business, I am a proud mother to three beautiful girls that were born in my heart, and a wife to my wonderful husband of 17 years. We adopted Leila from Moscow, Russia at 32-months old and Mia from Jiangsu Province, China at 13-months old. We thought we were done at two, until God led us on another journey to China - this time to bring home our 11-year old daughter, Kara Da Xin in July 2009. I am also the proud Aunt of two nephews, born in Guatemala, and a niece, born in China. I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father for blessing our family with these amazing children.
This is a very special necklace I had made to keep my children close to my heart. On the left, it says "family" in Russian. On the right, it says, "mother and daughter joined at the heart" in Chinese. I love this piece of jewelry and how it always reminds me of our journey to bring home our three precious girls.
