It was a big day for Mia. She had not one, but two play dates today. We have participated in a neighborhood play group every Friday since Leila came home. We started out our day there, but had to leave a bit early to head over to another part of town to meet up with our local Families with Children from China (FCC) 2, 3 & 4-year old play group. This is just our third time attending this group, and oh my, what a cute bunch of kids!! (And great Moms [and Dads], too!) After playing at the park for a while, we headed across the street for a story time at a small coffee shop, then to a local bakery for cupcakes. As soon as we got in the car to go home, Mia said to me, "Mommy, I had two pwaydates day. It was a gooooooooood day." My heart just melted. :-)
Now, for some serious cuteness...
Next week, we start a Chinese language class with many of these little girls. We can't wait!!

oh I am so glad your sweet Mia had such an enjoyable day!:)
O Yes, there is some major cuteness going on there. Aren't playdates so much fun!!!!
Did Mia climb up that webby thing all by her self??? Man that makes me a nervous wreck just seeing that picture. When we get together, Ms. Mia has to stay close to the ground, so Miss Leslie don't freak out. Just tonight Marla told me I couldn't handle having a boy....lol. I'm a scaredy cat to kids cliaming on things.
Oh how precious! My favorite photo is the last one but they are ALL so so cute. I am glad she enjoyed BOTH of her playdates. What a fun time for you and her both. Glad you both had a fantastic day.
Wow! You are good! Since I've been home, I've only managed to get dinner on the table and get the kids to bed! I just sat down to read my favorite blogs and you already have the playdate posted. I'm impressed! You really have a gift and I'm so glad that you share it with all of us!
Thank you so much for including me in the playdate today. I was just telling my husband how much I enjoyed myself and what a nice group of women I met. I also couldn't stop raving how cute the girls all were. Wow!
Gabbie will be so excited to see herself on your blog! I'm sure Ainsley will like it as well!
Thanks again!
Stacy
What a fun, fun day! I love all of these cute photos and the girls are just adorable!!!
I can't wait to see more pics of the girls together.
Mia is obviously a gymnast, as I can tell she likes to climb!
Cutie pies ...

Sounds like you had a terrific day....I always look forward to the days when we have playdates set up...but two...that is fantastic!
Have a great weekend!

what a fun day....and I must know how you made these collages....and please don't kill me....I need the link again to order that picture....I went to do it and deleted it by mistake....I was HORRIFIED!!!
Michelle,
You're right, "serious cuteness!" Thank you SO much for the wealth of information you gave me about the digital scrapbooking. I appreciate the time you took. As soon as I get a little time, I'm going to try it! Are the girls starting the Mandarin classes at a church? I've been contemplating starting a little children's language school so I'm very curious. Have a great weekend!
Hi Michelle--
Alex had a blast. She told Nana and Poppy this morning about "stoweetime and cucakes" (translated-- storytime and cupcakes). Mommy had a good time too. Can't wait for another playdate.
See you soon
Faye
PS we went to Leeds today and had a great time
Wow, so great that you are able to meet up with so many other adopted kiddies. It will be such lovely support as your kids grow up.

Celebrating 19 days as Mommy to Alyzabeth An!
How fun the girls get to see one another and study Chinese together!
Awww....and you are so right. There was some really serious cuteness going on there.
So glad to hear that Miss Mia had a great time.

Michelle,
I can completely relate. There are so many ways to incoporate the Chinese heritage into our family; Russia is more difficult. I did have a Russian-speaking babysitter when Sloan was very young. I also have a few phone numbers of some people who would give Sloan Russian lessons but I don't know if he is ready. Actually, I think he could care less. I'm the one who wants to make sure that both of my children are exposed to their cultural heritage equally. He just wants to play "cops and robbers" with his friends. ;) We do have a large community of Armenian people in our city, many of whom speak Russian because it is a former Soviet Republic. Do you have a Russian church in your town? That may be a good resource.
Can't wait to see your next group of beautiful pics. :)
