Adoption Update & Major Cuteness

First of all, I want to apologize for not being able to catch up with many of you lately. I have been feeling a bit overwhelmed and definitely lacking in time. I have been working so hard to set a world record on our home study so we can submit our I800-A. We told our agency on October 10 that we wanted to adopt Kara (we haven't decided on her name yet, but I'm just testing it out) and we should have our home study wrapped up and done by the end of next week! Whew!! I'm not sure if we'll have to do any revisions because of the strict Hague requirements, but at least draft #1 should be done in less than 30 days. I know most of it is out of my control, but I am on a mission to bring our girl home before she turns 11 in June. So... if I haven't stopped by for a while, please know it has been for a good reason. We have also been crazy busy around here, too.

This morning, we hosted a play date for Mia's FCC play group. There was some major cuteness going on in this house! And to top it off, I FINALLY got to meet one of my favorite people I met through this amazing blogosphere. She prefers to be "geographically mysterious", so I won't say who it was (no, I'm not telling!), but to you-know-who: It was AWESOME to finally meet you and your precious girl this morning!!

One of the little girl's dad was the hit of the day. He gave rides on his knee, twirled them on the sit-n-spin and so much more. Thank you, Mark!!

My attempt at personalizing a few gifts for the girls. We have become big Ni Hao Kai-Lan fans around here. I forgot how hard it was to draw on pumpkins. (Especially cold, wet pumpkins that have been sitting out in the 40 degree rain all day.)

We just love these girls. Thank you for such a fun day!

Okay, if we get on a plane right now and get there before Halloween, will you make us a Ni Hao Kai Lan pumpkin too? Those are the cutest things I have ever seen! I am VERY challenged in the arts and crafts department, so I am green with envy right now. It looks like an absolutely fabulous day.

I pray your homestudy gets done quickly and without a single problem!

Blessings,
Tisha

Seriously cute! Did you make up the little pumpkin bags too? They all look like they were professionally done. You did an awesome job... I'm so impressed.

Oh do I LOVE the pumpkins. Maddie's going crazy as Kai Lan is huge here too. Your 2 pumpkins look at cute as can be.

I'm empathizing with the paperwork. All worth it when it's all said and done...but you'd think they could make it a tad easier. Best wishes with it!

Oh how I wish we lived close to partake in some lovely fun like you had with Mia and the girls. The pumpkins turned out awesome. I'm going to go have a little chat with God and ask Him if He'll consider sharing a little bit of talent and creativity with me...I think I missed that part of the lineup.

Am praying as you chase...

Lots of love~
