Our Weekend

On Saturday, I took a break from some serious spring cleaning for a little retail therapy at my favorite store. After a makeover at the Smashbox cosmetics counter and some much-needed shopping in the ladies' department (as documented by official damage to the left), what do my eyes spot from across the room? This most adorable dress. And as a bonus, it was already marked down from Easter and was on the clearance rack. SCORE! I tried to get one for Leila (her size not yet on sale, bummer), but the largest they had was a size 5 (bummer, bummer). Of course, I couldn't wait until decent weather for Mia to wear it, so I purchased a little white sweater to go with it (also on clearance rack) and she wore it to church Sunday morning. Oh, how I love a good find!

OK, off of frivolous things... The true highlight of our weekend was going to see Dr. Bailey Smith speak at our church last night. Wow! What a powerful message. After his sermon yesterday morning (which we missed because he was unable to make the first service, which we attended), over 70 people accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during the second service, with over half of them getting baptized last night! He is here until tomorrow night and we have already got a babysitter lined up so we can go hear him speak again. If you ever get an opportunity to hear him, I wholeheartely recommend it.

And now, back to the dress. Doesn't my model look beautiful?

Miss Grace takes a break. So ladylike, just like her mommy was at her age. :-)
