We had a little problem today. Somewhere between leaving the hotel in Beijing and arriving in Nanjing, our video camera broke. I can take quality video with my digital camera, but I haven't figured out how to view the videos anywhere but my laptop. So... we headed off to an electronics store. Thank goodness we asked Genie, our coordinator, to come along to translate. We ended up buying a new DVD camcorder. I'm not sure how the price compares to those in the U.S., but we had to make a choice and go with it. I can tell you that our 10-15 minute cab ride both directions was 8 Yuan, or roughly $1 US dollar!!! We couldn't even buy the gas for that!
