The two interlocking cypress trees in the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City symbolize loyal love. The last emperor and empress of the Qing dynasty had their wedding photo taken in front of these trees to show that they "wish to fly to heaven, two birds with one pair of wings, and to grow together on earth, two trees with branches interlaced."
