We were supposed to go to Indiana this weekend, but plans changed. We ended up going to the New Albany Grand Prix Classic. This was our third year and we love this event. Tip: Arrive early, as the lines get extremely long by 1:00 p.m.
Leila likes all the rides, but her favorites are the inflatables. Here's Leila watching the OSU Marching Band & cheerleaders.
Leila waited in line for 1/2 hour to get her hair painted. It just might take that long for it to wash out!
In addition to running my own photography business, I am a proud mother to three beautiful girls that were born in my heart, and a wife to my wonderful husband of 17 years. We adopted Leila from Moscow, Russia at 32-months old and Mia from Jiangsu Province, China at 13-months old. We thought we were done at two, until God led us on another journey to China - this time to bring home our 11-year old daughter, Kara Da Xin in July 2009. I am also the proud Aunt of two nephews, born in Guatemala, and a niece, born in China. I am so thankful to our Heavenly Father for blessing our family with these amazing children.
This is a very special necklace I had made to keep my children close to my heart. On the left, it says "family" in Russian. On the right, it says, "mother and daughter joined at the heart" in Chinese. I love this piece of jewelry and how it always reminds me of our journey to bring home our three precious girls.
